Information about Hot Air Balloon Tether Rides
Read these tips to streamline the ticket purchase process.
Tickets
Balloon tether ride tickets are NOT included in your gate admission ticket and cannot be purchased online (UNLESS YOU HAVE A FAST PASS). They can be purchased on the balloon field for $35 per person cash, including children over the age of 2 years old. Children under 2 years of age are not permitted to ride for safety reasons.
Purchase & Reservation Instructions: To submit a ride request, please click on the QR code posted around the venue (or go to www.BalloonShows.com). Only 1 person in your party should register your group. You may also go to https://balloonshows.com/this-weekends-show. to reserve your spot in line. Multiple entries will will slow down your progress and potentially eliminate your request. If you do not have a phone, please alert the host stationed at the ticket line for assistance.
Other Communication Methods
If weather conditions change and rides are delayed or canceled, we will:
1. Make Announcements via PA System
2. Text you and Email you through the FRESTIX ticket system
2. Post updates on our Web Page -https://balloonshows.com/this-weekends-show
3. Change the flags at the ticket tent. Yellow flag - preparing for inflation. Green flag - tickets on sale.
Other Important Information
Weather
Winds and rain affect balloon inflation. Balloon tether rides are best with wind speeds under 8 miles per hour with no strong gusts. Prevailing weather and winds may postpone or delay ballooning and balloon ride operations.
We ask for your patience if balloon tether rides are delayed. SAFETY OF OUR PASSENGERS IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN.
Refunds for cash Balloon Ride Tickets will be made ONLY at the ticket tent on the day of cancellation to individuals who have not used their balloon ride tickets.
Fast Pass
If you have the fast pass you do NOT need to register for a balloon ride. Just come straight up to the Balloon Ride tent and get a ticket to ride immediately. (as long as the green flag is up and Balloon Rides have started.)
Other Recommendations
- Small children are allowed in the balloon basket. Some children are startled by the noise of the burner. You may want to consider bringing ear covering.
- Children under 2 are not allowed for safety reasons.
- Pregnant woman may be refused a ride. Pilot makes the judgement.
